Upgrade older DVR systems
The technology within a Lorex DVR has changed drastically over the past few years. Thankfully the way in which camera cables are connected to it has not. This means that it is extremely easy to upgrade your older DVR security system to a new one. You can also easily swap your older analog cameras for brand new HD ones using the same cabling.
See the details, hear the sounds
This DVR is capable of recording audio on every channel with no extra connections required. Audio is transmitted over the same coaxial BNC cable that connects the camera to DVR. So feel free to add a couple of Lorex's premium , such as the , to your system today to enhance your security monitoring with a whole new level of coverage (such as voices).
High-capacity, high-efficiency hard drive
Lorex uses that are manufactured specifically to manage the high workloads of the security environment. Designed to be in constant operation, the 2TB hard drive within the DV7082 HD DVR can store weeks (or even months) of recorded footage. Adjust the DVR settings to record at a lower resolution (or program scheduled recording times) to maximize hard drive space. The motion-triggered recording option saves additional storage space by only recording when movement is detected.

Different recording modes
The DV700 Series DVR is capable of recording footage continuously, during scheduled times, or when movement is detected. These options can be customized with each of your security cameras, which means you can have your most important camera recording all the time while lower activity cameras can be programmed only to record on motion. If you wish to use the motion recording option, it is important to note that there is a pre-recording function that goes back to record the five seconds before the motion is detected with this DVR. This means you will never have to worry about missing a single moment.
Automatic hard drive management
The hard drive within the DVR is designed to automatically overwrite the oldest data with the newest data when it becomes full. This means that you don't have to do a thing to manage your hard drive space.
Power failure auto-recovery
This DVR has an auto-recovery feature that will automatically reboot the system after a power outage. This means that you don't have to worry about a thing - your system will start recording again within minutes. The DV700 Series DVR also has a feature that continuously monitors the system for potential system errors called Watch Dog. If Watch Dog ever detects a critical error, it will automatically reboot the system. This will help ensure system stability, keep your cameras recording, and prevent future system failures.
